Official Mk1 Golf OC 1/4 mile sprint league table!

I did 16.85 at GTI International in 2002 in my old 1.8 GTI

Never really looked at this until now and it looks very competitive, i would have a go in my driver but i don't want to show up anyone  :roll: .

Why don't you put the mods down against he times so we can clearly see if the car is standard or not?

1.8 Kr 16v with flowed head
Twin exhaust cam mod
1600 box with quaiffe diff
Ashley manifold and Supersprint 1 box exhaust
Eagle F1 on 15" wheels

Santa Pod: 14.3x sec 1/4.

Will be good to catch up with you, if you're going to Spring Festival!!! Hopefully there will be many others bettering their times or setting new ones, and I'll need to do a massive update/rewrite of the league table!!!

only a few days away!hopfuly gonna beat my old time
but i suppose im in a different car now haha

ill be at the pod for some payback paul looking for some quicker times hopefully not even going to strip the car this time see if the extra weight helps the launch

If the people posting/claiming times can put a brief description, or a link to their build thread or something, that would be great. The table would get too messy if I tried to put the mods alongside, because you'd want to mention lots of little things etc.

i got a 15.0 at pod today

g60 turbo running standard 1bar boost 158bhp

Updated with today's results.

all my times from santa pod at the weekend were slower!!!!! :cry:   the clutch worked fine this time, the problem now was traction as it was just lighting up in 1st and on the shift in to second  :dontknow:

best time of the day was 16.533 @ 82.22mph

Ok, I'm dying to have a go!
Down in cornwall so is santa pod really the closest venue?
Cant find any mention of anywhere else and i know they're few and far between.  :dontknow:
