Buying a car already modified?
I'm still on the lookout for a decent cab, and have stumbled across a good sounding example locally. The chap selling it boasts a few features, mainly a full engine rebuild and upgrade as follows;
In 2003 it had a full Engine rebuild: TSR performance 1900 bottom end complete cylinder head rebuilt including new guides, re-cut seats, X1 valve, various tappet shims, second hand camshaft, all gaskets and seals including gear box, clutch complete, Speedo head 0 miles on clock at rebuild, New mohair hood, metal and paint-work to boot lid, fuel tank lift pump, up-rated gear linkage rod set, X2 window winder handles, oil dip stick top, HT leads, new boot badges, washer jets, rolling road tune up and normal service items including gear box oil, fuel filter and timing belt. This year it has had a new radiator, coil and fuel pump.
The list seems pretty comprehensive. Of course I'll be asking for receipts to back the claims up, and possibly contacting TSR to confirm. Is there anything I should be worrying about with a 1900 rebuild? Does it seem like theres anything been missed?
Any input appreciated
Cheers!
