May be irrelavent, but on mine, the top numbers are whole miles, and the trip meter has smaller increments in red. I would have thought if it were 59k, the last number on the top row would be red, as it is on the trip meter.

I actually looked at that pic to compare it and realised it looked more like 600k too. Some s1 dashes have the trip meter on the top row so thats why I had doubts.
If I said deal what would you do for a dash?

Dash, centre console and wheel on. Just need to get the carpet sections to cover the wires and a new hazard switch as it doesnt work.
Retro blaupunkt radio converted to play an iPod
Had to make a bracket for the choke as this s1 dash doesnt have a mounting point for it.
Before and after pics
Its like driving another car!

Looks good, what do you mean by carpet sections? Because i have wires hanging down on my series 2 dash as i removed the lower dash.
Theres 2 kinda pressed felt sections that wedge under the dash to cover everything up.

They slot into the dash, and i think there are slots on the bulkhead for the bottom, though i'm not certain on that, as mine tend to come out at the bottom.

That S1 dash is sweet.
Will you be making an appearance at the central meet at the beginning of next month?
