However, I need someone who knows more than me to come and have a look at it.
Holeinmk1 (Tom) has offered to take a look on Tuesday.
Need to decide if I can realistically take on the job. I can't weld and don't have a ramp so that would need to be done in a garage. I hope I can do it like, that'd be fantastic sense of acheivement getting her back on the road! And not just that, I loved the car.
But if Tom reveals major damage underneath I might have to sell the whole thing on here (it's not going to the scrappers!) Because I do have a ?700 budget.
Well, i'll keep you all updated,
thanks

Don't have any bits (unless you could use some wiper arms FOC) but could offer a bit of free labour, work and imminent new baby permitting :dontknow:
Can do front suspension competently if that's of any use.
Which boozer did you nudge? Starkies??
Chris
I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines

Only thing stopping me from doing that is i've nowhere to keep it. Do you know anywhere, that would be pretty cheap, and I can have two cars there and work on them?
It wasn't the Starky, no, it was a pub in Oswaldtwistle.
