16 v engine - 020 clutch
i am rebuilding a kr 1800 lump and mating it to 020 gear box i have decided to replace the clutch and release plate, so i went on ebay and purchased one, it stated it was for a 1600 GTI so i thought all was well,
last night i went to offer it up and discovered it was the 190mm clutch and release plate for a 020 4 speed box, as 5 speed ones are 200mm,
![:banghead:](https://vwgolfmk1.org.uk/themes/default/images_custom/ocf_emoticons__BangHead.gif)
so my question is can i use my new clutch and release plate on my gearbox beeing it 10mm smaller, will clutch slip etc with it been smaller etc, :?
regards adrian
