VW TDi conversion - how difficult?

Had to move my battery tray back as much as possible to get the hose out from the intercooler and is a bits of a mis-mash of sections cut from hoses and rejoined.

The ally tubes are cut from a scrap damaged scaffold tower section, and polished.

Just a test fitting, which is why the hose clamps ar loose/missing

Should make 80 bhp stock, I'll run it a bit then start upping the boost and fuel.

Should be making 1.8 8V GTI type power but with more torque,  far more economy, and the tendancy to not burst into flames in an accident.

looking very good indeed reg! :y:

thats exactly what I had to do with my battery.
my boost pipes are still plastic drainpipe solvent welded together, with bits of the origional rubber hose! - a proper bodge, it seems to be doing ok at the moment, its putting up with 1.3 bar   haven't had any leaks in a while     though there are definate plans on upgrading it with proper metal tube bent to shape with decent silicone joiners at some point.

by the way what are you both doing for rads?
