Pre-Injection Pump Filter
-Someone on this forum recommended a Metro 16V filter (M18 thread). However the motor factor I spoke to tried 3 catalogues all of which gave a part number for a smaller bore part (around M14-16 I think) - anyone have a part no. for the M18 threaded filter?
-Someone also mentioned a little mk1 Golf carb filter but I'm surprised this flows enough fuel under full-load?
-Demon Tweaks said the FSE Pro-fuel filter would do the job (~?10) but I called FSE and they said no way for Bosch K-Jet. They recommend the bullet filter which is ?50+
Any other tried & tested solutions?
Thanks :y:

I'll have a look tonight to see how this could be mounted without any gubbins hanging around under the vehicle - a bullet filter looks a bit like an over-engineered solution to me though at first flush.

In any case, I think its a case of there's a lot of dirt and rust in the fuel tank because its 25 years old, not because it builds up quickly. So once its clean, I reckon you have a long time of trouble-free operation.

On late cabbys there is a small filter box(533201511A), i've always had one of these on my cabby and i've still had a pump fail. Since that happend I did full tank flush and no problems.
