What did you find when you cleaned out the fuel filter? Was there anything in the fuel pump?
Check the filler neck and the fuel tank for rust or debris. They can cause blockages in the fuel lines. Access the fuel tank is under your rear seats.
Good luck

Lift up the back seat, remove the screws from the plate (black on mine IIRC), disconnect the two pipes, twist of the metal plate (sometimes very stiff), lift out the pump (dependant on year of vehicle). Have a poke around with a torch first and see if you can see anything at the bottom of the tank. Next step, attach a magnet to a length of string and lower magnet into the tank. See what you get on that. You won't get sludge on the magnet but may get bits of rust.
If its as clean as a whistle, you may have to flush the system through as there might be some other debris stuck in the fuel lines.

Thats where my limited expertise comes to an end. I'm all talk but never done it properly myself! For some reason I can't get the second plate off. I've just resorted to sticking an old speaker on the bottom of the tank so the magnet can catch any rust floating about.
Someone else should post some advice about flushing the system. In the meantime, get a Haynes manual (brown cover) that should give you some tips.
Sorry I can't be of any more help.
