Open the boonet and look to the back right side of the car. You will see a metal wire that come through from the interior that controls the heat. Best thing to do if not sure, get someone to move the heater control from hot/cold and in the end you will see it.
Let the engine get nice and hot and you will see that the rubber pipe that leads to this unit will be hot (should be!!). If that is the case, change the heater control to HOT. Now, feel the pipe on the other side of that controller and if that is cold, then your hater valve is stuffed. New ones cost a few quid from GSF and easy to fit. If both sides of the valve are hot, could be that your heater matrix is blocked up with gunge and not letting heat through. Pig of a job to change but can be done. Again GSF sel the matrix.
