Wiper Motor Testing
I assumed that the mechanism was seized and that I have burnt out the motor.
I have tried another motor from a donor car but, its not working.
The fuse and relay are OK (the windscreen wash is working ok)
How can I check that the motor is definately not working before I go and get another one?
I removed the mechanism and held the motor against the bodywork and ran a cable from the live on the battery to the red connection on the wiper motor, but no joy.
Is this a valid way to test the motor, or am I missing something.
If the motor is no good, I off down the scrappy to get a mk2 unit, but would like to check first.
Thanks
