Goodbye Stock Hatch, Hello........
I posted a thread up a while ago, regarding the legality of my LHD Mk1 for Stock Hatch. Well, the technical committee of the 750MC decided last week, after much debate, that I cannot compete in Stock Hatch, as they are convinced my car, a 1982 model LHD, was not available to buy in the UK as per the regulations. This is regardless of whatever proof I manage to obtain from VW!
I will therefore be competing in the Dunlop Group One Classic Touring Cars with the BARC! My sponsor, AW Tracksport, run another Mk1 in this series, so it means they'll be able to look after me at every race and we'll be a proper team! It's unfortunate that I won't get to prove the Mk1 among the more modern hatches with the 750MC, as I really believe, more so with this new car, that it would have shown the French trash a thing or two. But, the Mk1 will be more at home in this series, among at least 6 other Mk1s this year apparently!
Please see link to the CTCRC website:

I'm thoroughly looking forward to it, i have to say! The 2006 calendar has not been finalised yet, but as soon as I know race dates, I'll post them up.
Cheers!
Keith

I've heard that the meeting at Brands Hatch is a HUGE event. I'm talking 30,000 spectators and the Red Arrows, so the bloke from the CTCRC said!
