To passat or not to passat?
I'm looking for an estate car and was thinking about a passat estate auto. Any recomendations or warnings, or know of any for sale? Just want something cheap and reliable to lug stuff around in, rather than the golf
Cheers
Andy

Had the same problem exactly !
GerTIe is now laid up and I needed somefink Estate-ish to carry my model airyplanes in. (Elfie is bit tiny and only for summers) ….and…….missus only drives auto's, so in anticipation of my retirement……
An
AUDI A4 AVANT 1800 20v Auto (can't do much stick stirring on the M6!)
1996 Bright Red 17" Ally's with 225/45's
And I luv it almost as much as GerTIe
Trouble there is so much stuff under the bonnet ( + Catalytic Converters, etc) that it ain't going to be much fun taking care of it.
I have also heard that I shouldn't be trusting my cam belt much beyond 40k miles.
Theres a few on e-bay at the mo to give you an idea of the prices…check 'em out
Cheers
