Thanks bud, there' no hurry but i would like to see it complete and running :)

Well todays efforts included washing all paint dust out and off of just about everything and treating all the plastics i have

Started by completely emptying the car and boxing up engine / interior / exterior parts

General dust and crud / leaves from heater blower

After a hoover / wash / polish

Rough fitted the rubbers to get them back into shape

Scrubbed the lights and plate and fitted

Cleaned the engine bay and front panel

Fitted the front end up

Tended to the switch looms with tesa tape

Sat the dash in place amd fitted all the parts i had so i can see what i need

Nice work. How much Tesa tape did you get through? I'm planning on buying some but not sure how many rolls to get?

Andy - i used 1 and a half rolls, i usually buy 8 rolls at a time as i use a fair bit. Only got half a roll left so better get some more.

Mattkirk - yes has G40 engine, i've had a lot of g40's in the past and done a few g40 conversions too. I've done a lot more 1.8t conversions but wanted something fun and light with small cc. Did have a fair few 20v parts set aside while i was looking for a shell but luckily found ths beaut

I took the dash section home to strip it out and give it a better clean as it's a little delicate

Detergent wipes to remove grime and paint dust

Stripped, cleaned, brushed and treated 3 times

Cheers for that ;)

Dash looks good

Dash looks awesome mate.

Andy have redone my loom too recently with Tesa and you go through more than you might imagine for info.

thanks Andy and smudger

when you get the tesa tape make sure you get the fabric / cloth tape as they do a nylon version that is not so good

i need to work out which order to get parts on my 'need' list so i can make best use of my time and £££

the first revision list has now grown massively to;

bumpers
carpets
headliner
door cards
servo / pedal box
full exhaust
4 branch manifold
seat belts + clips
fuel pump
fuel lines
boost pipes
clutch cable
accelerator cable
coilovers
wheels
front small block engine mount
intercooler
radiator + hoses
indicators
drivers door lock pin rod
internal bootlid cover
door handle screws
non gti door pulls
battery box / battery
e30 battery leads
polo cam cover
polo ht lead guide
slimline fan
handbrake handle
air intake and filter

i think i'll attack the engine loom and reroute some of the car loom as that will be time consuming and free while i save some more pennies

Thanks bud, ordered a few screws and trim clips and seat runner earlier. Just little bits as funds are seriously low

These cars are bottomless money pits, even the cheap bits are expensive  :'(
