Smoke coming from engine bay

I've not started my mk1 in a few months, today i thought i would start her up and see if she will start in the hope of a short drive. Then i noticed smoke coming from behind the engine ? I only ran the car for 5 minutes never seen this before does anyone have any ideas ? Also when i opened oil cap small amounts of smoke was visible. Any ideas what the problem is? Should i be worried? Checked oil level and the oil is slightly over filled any help would be appreciated

I would say that a new Valve cover gasket is in your future, over fill with oil isn't a good thing.
If your radiator hoses aren't ballooning, and hard to squeeze when hot, then the valve cover gasket it is.
