1987 GTi cabriolet

Hello. I finally got my hands on my childhood dream and I have so much to learn.
I will need all the help and advise you can give as I have had many mk4 and a couple of Mk5 golfs but my new baby is way out of my knowledge base.
Dont know where to start to ask all the questions I need answering, but can someone point me in the direction of the place to post a question about the poppers on the roof tarpaulin/cover.
