When its all together its quite obvious, the theory being more weight in the rear (which requires more braking) compresses the suspension and the spring pulls on the compensator lever, which opens the valve to let more fluid/pressure through. I guess the starting point depends on the level you run the car…
il put it roughly in the middle and drive carefully until i find a quiet test road
so there is o adjustment on the actual valve itself?

to be fair, somethings are best left alone especially when they are rusty
is there a basic function test i can do before fitting?
