Can someone advise please how we get it out or access a button or fuse on the dash? We have tried everything before my last resort of returning it back to the mechanic. He doesn't remember it moving and is baffled too.

Factory Radios have a picture of the antenna on the back of the plug.
He may have blown a fuse as well.
Modern head units use either a Blue or a White wire to supply power to the antenna when it is turned on.
Most Windscreen washer issues that I have found over the year aren't Dash related, they are either related to the Relay, the switch or the washer motor….Rarely a "Broken wire that is in the "Dash"….

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

I have recently had an engine service where the mechanic had to access the back of my dashboard to fix some faulty wiring for the washer jet. Whilst he was working he must have done something as the electric aerial is now stuck in the down position.

Thanks for your reply Briano. The problem was with the water not getting through due to fault in the washer/ wiper stem. Luckily that's fixed now.
There shouldn't be any water getting through to the inside….. That could indicate that your fuse panel or relays have gotten wet…. Hope it was a typo….
