Do them yourself. You must love sanding if you've done the body with 80 through 800 wet and dry!

C:\fakepath20150109_133019.jpg Little update… bodywork almost prepped. That's been tough pain staking work but hopefully worth it. Hopefully in the paint shop in the next month or so. Wheels back from the refurbers today. Well happy, nice new set of michelin rubber as well! Much love out there for these???

It's been some time but she's back from the body shop and has come back with a shiny new coat!

I'm a very happy chappy but as I've got house stuff going on the rebuild is going to have to wait even though I'm itching! !   :hand:

Good things come to those who wait!

Long time since I've posted any thing….. mainly because my car went into storage straight after its paint job due to me having to spend time on the house! Well I hired a trailer at the weekend and finally got her home!

I've started the rebuild, slowly slowly. All the parts I'm fitting have either been totally refurbed or are new. It is taking more time than originally planned but am going a little further than expected!!!

Will post more pics but a little teaser for now!

Love it, keep the progress coming. Looks like they have done a nice job with the paint too.

So my new carpet has landed from Newton commercial. Quality looks great, but ordered a blue one and the one that's come is no where near the original colour blue one? Mine was dark blue,  this one's a turquoisey blue???

Anyone one else had this? Will they take it back for an exchange?  If they don't do a dark blue shall I go black or stick with this one???? Aaaarrrrhhhhh

20160502_162827.jpg out in the day light! Few more bits sorted. Door handles all on and working, along with all the windows and the central locking.

She's still sitting a little high mind, putting that down to the new shocks and no running…..

Look's good, it will drop some more once the springs settle and when you get the other bits bolted onto the car, you feel the weight of just 1 front seat, it soon adds up.

When are you hoping to be finished as summers coming, it's May already and the days are getting longer….

Going back to your first post you said it was your 40th Birthday present and that you was currently 38, that was posted 2 years ago so does that make you 40 yet?

Bloody 41 in July!! How time flies when your having fun!

Would love it on the road this year but have other things taking up all my time, I'm only grabbing a hour here and there and don't want to cut any corners…..

Should have really got it for my 42nd birthday!!!

Never thought about the weight of the bits that are still to be fitted, makes sense!

Few updated pics, bumpers should be on in a week or two, just awaiting bumper steels to come back from powder coaters…

Lots of little bits still to sort but not much left to do really

Need more Time and more Money!!!

Looks good,
No rush to finish just yet, summer a few months away. I guess you wont be driving it about during the winter months and getting it covered in mud?
