Gti DX Cam questions.....

Hi Guys,

Some of you will know that im changing my Piper cam 285 and going back to standard…

Car is 1.8 gti dx
solid lifters / tappet shims…..

1. will a standard cam from a later dx fit? its out of a hydro lifters head….

2. is the 1.6 gti standard cam same as the 1.8 gti, (solid lifters)

You need to use the cam from a solid cam follower engine for your DX

No this won't fit !!!

Yes they are the same there is a big G on the camshaft that;s the one you need.
Take a picture out of ETKA so you can see the part nr and engines where this cam is used.
