Agreed Valuation

So I have reached the stage of my build where I am ringing around trying to find the best insurance policy to suite me. As part of the policy I am hoping to achieve an agreed valuation. When mentioning to the various companies about this, they said they could either do a valuation for £20 or I would get one through the owners club forum.
So, who do I need to speak to? What do I need to do? Am I in the correct place? Has anyone gone through this process before? What did you do?
The insurance companies mentioned about supplying a number of photos, listing all modifications and values, and providing receipts.
Thank you in advance for any help/ guidance.

You can self value your car upto a certain amount think it was car under 10k you can value yourself
That's interesting. If I'm honest I'm struggling to put a price in it. I know what I have spent but surely that isn't going to reflect the true value of the car. Would be interesting to hear what others would feel its worth.

When I changed to a policy like this in 1994, I had BRM do the valuation for me and now with my current insurer, who I've been with for the last 5 years, I have increased the value myself to the ceiling amount with no change to the renewal.
Try a company like the Phirm or any other reputable VW specialist in your area.
