I purchased the car back in March. It was in pretty good condition then, apart from the roof being perished, the bodykit had taken a bit if a battering over the years, and the standard steel wheels being in a bit of a state. I have had a new mohair roof fitted, and had some snowflakes refurbed to match the colour of the car. I also had the bodykit resprayed so that it was in keeping with the rest of the paintwork, apart from that the car is in really good condition throughout
Apart from the lack of power steering this is by far the most fun car that I have owned. The only issue at the moment is that the family are hinting that they might want to upgrade to a campervan for next year Would be great to hear what you guys think about the car :

Like the number plater. G—VWC!
As for the Camper, well may be rent one.
Take them to the brecon beacons say at Easter or at the very end of the summer and hope for bad weather.
Mind you even if your unlucky and the weather is great, just being there should put them off for life!
Apologies to both my Club Friends and my personal Friends from down that way, I do love it really.
So keep the Golf.

The Hood was about £360 I think. That included fitting at my work as well.
That's a good idea with the camping. Maybe I'll wait until another storm is forecast and take them off somewhere…
The thing is, I am quite tempted to take on another little project. Maybe I can keep both!
