Where the hell does this go?

Hi, I'm in the process of putting my car back together and cannot remember where this came from? That is if it is part of a golf, cars been in pieces that long I can't remember!

..underneath the backseat, I think...

Cant say ive got anything like that on my car, any part numbers on it?

fits under the back seat, hold the carpet down.

It's tucks under the hard wearing boot carpet (you'll see a slit for it) and then screws through the rear carpet into the body of the car. 

All of this is under the back seat. There should be two, one left, one right.
