This is my first MK1 Golf and hopefully it wont disappoint. The car will be dropped off to me tomorrow (10/4/13) so the pics ive put on are what ive got off the seller.
Ive had a MK3 and a couple of MK4's before, but always fancied a MK1.
I come across this one on ebay and had the cash so thought i would take the plunge and go for it. I was going to buy one last summer that was an all white model but decided against it in the end (or should i say the wife did).
The most amazing thing about the car so far is the insurance quote ive just got £89 fully comp for the year.
I think the first thing im going to do with the car is replace the coilovers to normal shocks and springs, as the car sits way too low for my liking.
Anyway i hope to speak to some other members soon for tips on how to's and any other advice
Cheers
Dave
ps has this been a club members car on here before?

Hi Dave and welcome along to the forum. Congrats on becoming a MK1 owner. Stick some pics up of her so we can see if she's a previous members car

Looks in lovely condition Dave from the pics. Just a tip but you can combine pics into one post save you posting and then starting again
Cheers pal thanks for your help. cant wait for it to arrive in the morning.
Looks like i will be spending some money this week. Will be giving the car a real good going over at work this weekend. Just hope i dont find any hidden gremlins.

I will get it up on the ramps at work this Saturday and have a good poke around. If anything needs doing or replacing i will just do it. They seem like a simple enough car to work on so it shouldnt be a problem if it needs anything doing.
