About to start restoring my 1980 mk1 Jetta, and the only genuine panels that I can't source are the wings!!
I've heard that the pattern ones from heritage are shockingly poor quality.
Thanks

Have you still got your original wings? you could always make repairs to them using sections from non-genuine golf or jetta wings if you can't source any NOS VAG ones.

Have you thought about buying repro and cutting out the bits of the wings you need to repair your originals? That way you keep the original lines which are the problem with repro wings.
I've done it before and then lead loaded the repair to get a solid sealed joint without the requirement of filler.

My Jetta is about to go for a major restoration, and the guy that is doing it has recently tried to get pattern wings from vw h to fit. After 6 hours he flung them in the skip. He has now converted his Jetta to a round headlight front and used mk1 golf original wings and adapted them at the base!
I want to keep mine factory standard, hence the need for genuine panels.
Thanks anyhow
