SOOTY the mk1 tdi
it started life as a 1.1 golf c
the day i got it it had a non running mk2 golf 1.6 gtd lump all ready swapped in
fitted some ats classics and a badged grill and rolled like that for a while
then i found 13s just diddnt cut it
so i bought some mk2 gti steelies whilest i made my mind up on wheels
as normal . taking over a part compleat project
i had to sort a hell load of problems
so after the turbo blew and ran the engine dry
so with 3 weeks off work and 3 weeks befor edition i set about fitting a mk3 tdi lump .
mannaged to get it done with litrally hours to spare . it passed its mot ant half 4 thursday evening .
so i set about prepping for edition38
fitted gti arch trims
and after having to grind allot of the brakes away fitted the new wheels
and set off for edition at half 8 friday morning for a 3 hour first drive with the tdi lump lol
.
and thats it up till now
sorry for all the pics
current engine specs are
cone air filter
large front mount intercooler
egr blank
2.5" downpipe
2"straight pipe
every mod
it currently spins the wheels in 1st 2nd and 3rd but slips the clutch in 4th and 5th
its sat on some ebay coilovers i think
with 2" raised strut tops
chassis notch and shallow sump
on 14x8 and 14x8.5 ssr 3 peice splits
golf gti brakes with braided hoses and drilled and grooved discs

Nice to see the tdi in there to.
When you say every mod, can you go into more detail?

Its sits real nice and the mods don't look over the top till you dig a little deeper.

The every mod is basically a adjustable resister in one of the wires running to the fule pump that allows you to adjust the fueling without messing with the ecu
Cool, didn't know that.
I know you can shim the main spring in the governor to get more power all the way through the revs (spring controls rpm and fueling). Has this been done on yours to?
Cars sits nice on these wheels, i'm guessing SSR's?
