i have been trying to get genuine wings for mine…hard work…

horrible state of affairs getting oem panels now. Would love to stumble on a few. I only know of pattern ones or germany as has been said.

Was thinking the other day, what are the african ones like? will it be poor quality steel or vw quality? it is africa where they're still making the isnt it?

i think they made the last mk1 in south africa a few months ago...

slow progress i know, to be honest i just want it done, any bodyshops on here want to give me a quote?

i need inner wings painted undersealed,

front panel welded on and holes on top of it welded up

remainder of bay stripped

whole lot filled/painted

so, heres how the carb conversion looked, unfortunately it didnt last long, it just wasnt for me..






skip forward an engine conversion, the 16v bike carbs was a bit rough for me..

got her fired up, few more jobs to do hopefully have her on the road for summer

guess the engine lol

still a few jobs on the to do list :

align the bonet,
spray the grill trim,
swap the purple boost hoses,
trim the interior
service the charger
source front bumper trim
