can we have cabby's banned?
Only kidding! but seeing them isn't helping in the want for one.. almost warm enough to enjoy them properly too!
guess this is just one tintop owner showing a slight bit of envy and thought I'd share!
bit of a moo point, but thought I'd share never the less

I preferre the fact i don't have flies & dust from roads etc flying inside my car and splatting against my face as i drive.
Don't have to worry about raining all of a sudden and looking gay in one pmsl.
No envy here fella, you carry on

Dont you drive a citi?? Arguably the gayest and lamest of all 'mk1 golfs' if you can even class it as a mk1 golf. I guess you can…………. even if you get Jessica Alba and smash her in the face with a hammer its still Jessica Alba just an ugly version.

Im lucky enough to own both and love them both but for different reasons
on a nice sunny day you cant beat the cabby mine sounds ace with full stainless exhaust and does go a bit having the Donnington the wind break works a treat driving it in summer always brings a smile.
The tintop is a different car altogether handles better just feels firmer and is as fast as the cabby with 23 bhp less due to the weight
The big question is if one had to go which would go :dontknow:
The cabby got me back into Mk1s so i owe it a great deal but the tintop is a fine example of a good campaign, sorry but cant decide i will just have to keep them both

If you knew your car's, you'd know it is a mk1 golf but better
Are we getting to that olde "it's not a real mk1" again lol
If so neither is yours, series 1 is.
You can't get any more gayer than having the wind blowing your hair
Some floppies i like, but i wouldn't have one, tintop for me always
A mk1 is a mk1 period.

It is a head turner with the hood up, when it was sunny and I dropped the hood it doubled the attention
it was getting. Cant do that with a tin top, so theres an obvious bonus to that. However……. i do like tin tops and would happily look to buy one next.
how do you put pictures in posts?

I've got a stunning 85 cabby which I love, but only comes out with the sun. I'd really like a tin top as a daily driver tho.
I've got a little Fiat Punto at the mo which I bought to keep the mileage down on my Audi. Might be an idea to chop it in for a tinny.
You've got me thinking now fellas!!!!!!!!!!!!!
