It seems great and I was recommended it by Funk who has 2 I think.

Took the GX out for a wee drive and it was faultless.
Need to get the new bumpers and side trims back on soon.

Car has been sold to a fellow Scottish member.

He is over the moon and it is now wearing ATS type 5's which look ace.

It will be equally cherished and as it looks great he will just finish it off.

Unfortunately for me it would need the wee bits if rust removed which would have meant a good bit of paint but that's as I wanted a minter.

The new owner although picky isn't as bad as me but he's also doing a series 1 GTI, so he wanted a no spends car.

Thank you to everyone who helped me with the car bringing it back to life and for all the kind comments.

It's certainly a better car for being in your custody!

It wasn't a hard job but still cost a fair few quid to get it to where it is now.
I sold it for exactly how much it owed me and let Barry carry it forward.

So I never gained or lost a penny on it and learned quite a lot along the way.

I also learned never to buy a car without viewing it again, as I would never have bought the car if I had seen it. Not saying that is was or is a bad car but I wanted a mint straight to show car which it certainly wasn't.

Once Barry has worked his magic on it I'm sure it will be spot on.

had to sell my mk2 and some of my parts hoard, worth it though as she is a great looking car !!!

You have still to pay for it !! Typical Fifer ;-)
