Rad switch / temp sender wiring reconnection

Car overheated, noticed wire had dropped off top of temp sender switch at side of rad, so removed cables to reattach. Just want to be sure before reconnecting as ive kinda forgot I know the red cable attaches to the top male terminal of the temp switch from the rad switch cabling, but does the brown wire from the rad pin connect (on left) into the other black connector im holding and then red wire then connects onto the bottom male terminal of the temp switch, or does it connect to the lower male terminal on the temp switch? if so…then  where does the red wire connect to on the black connector cable? ….does that make sense  Dont want to reconnect until im absolutely sure…i know this is very basic stuff so aplogies
