Car judders and pulls to the left on acceleration.

Just got gone from work and on the way my car just started to judder and pull to the left when I was accelerating. Also when I got to a roundabout and pulled off the car started clicking from the left and swerving to the left
Anyone know what's going on haha?
Also my car has been whining when it's in fifth.

Oh yeah, its not doing it now

I've had similar with loose suspension components and loose wheel nuts before. 
Is the whine always in 5th or is it at a certain speed?

I've checked all the suspension and it seems to be fine, and the wheels bolts are on solid haha. Well it whines when I accelerate, but it has been doing it got a while now I'm taking the car off the road next week anyway to restore!

CV joint failure? 

second for CV joint, if i remember correctly if it clicks when you turn left its the right hand cv if that makes sense. But do not take my word for it.

With the whine in 5th have you checked the gearbox oil level on level ground with a cold gearbox?

Yeah as soon as I heard a clicking sound I thought it was the cv but the clicking stopped haha! I've checked and changed the gearbox oil and it still whines so I think I may be needing a new box.
