Fuel pump

Hi, I've been trying to locate a new genuine bosch gti fuel pump and all I can find is one from classic parts which will take 3 weeks to arrive and cost around £180.
Are they available anywhere else and if not could someone recommend an alternative.  I've heard the bosh 044 units are good but noisy?. Thanks.

I'm running a 044 pump in my ABF 2-door, overkill really and as you said, very noisy. By comparison the Walbro I had in there before (which also got a rep for being noisy) was hardly audible when the motor was running.

Cheers, I've heard quite a few people say the same thing about them which is pitting me off. Can you remember which walbro pump you opted for?

I had the Walbro 255l/hr inline pump, had fuel pressure issues so I replaced the pump, turned out to be a bad connection on a main fuse feeding the pump causing the drop in pressure.

I'm using a cabrio lift pump to swirl pot then will fit a pump in line with that which will hopefully be more than adaquate so long as I pick the right pump. I'll have a look for one of those, would it fit in the standard cradle?. Next on the list is a 3.5 bar pressure regulator and a 90 degree fitting to fit onto my fuel rail which is directly in line with my tensioner bracket :/. What FPR are you running?

The Walbro is a slimline pump, smaller than the Bosch (Caravelle, 044 etc) pump but the same size as our local Citi Golf MP9 injection pump. My setup is a bit different, I'm using a Citi Golf fuel injection tank, no lift pump but bottom outlet directly to the pump, FPR I'm using is a local MrTurbo brand, adjustable rising rate regulator. I'm not entirely happy with the FPR, I'm looking to replace it with an Aeromotive regulator.
