Hello guys I was wondering if I could use the live from my passenger side side light to power my driver side side light and use the lose earth wire that I'm left with to screw to the chassis, would this be a better option than to use the live from the headlamp at the driver side which it is at the moment and there is no earth as the other wire is left hanging hope someone can help thanks

The problem with using the power from the passenger side to power the drivers side is the parking lights won't work untill you put the passengers side on then the drivers side will light up as well. I belive the front side lights and rear lights are on different fuses, 1 fuse does drivers side front and rear lights and another fuse does passengers side.

Do you have a picture of what wiring you have there? There should be a earthing point/claw just behind the light and the washer bottle pump should be earthed there as well?

Has some one fitted an upgraded loom (headlights connected to the battery via a relay) or is the orginal wiring?

Would it fry my wires if I was to use the passenger side side light to power my drivers side side light, I know the parking light issue but would I still be able to do this, as before the old owner had used the live from the headlight so the sidelight only worked ok drivers side when head lamp was on, still not right any other suggestions to wire it so it can operate properly thanks again guys

Now the green wire is attached to the head lamp connector, the other wire from the side light goes in to a blue connector ( picture below)

Which then takes the black wire over to the passenger side to another connector which is not connected to nothing ( picture below)

The picture below is from my passenger side which is working perfect ( both head and sidelights ) one click side lights two clicks head lights ) but look at the picture one wire from the side light goes in to the headlight connector and the other disappears with the rest of the wires in to the car ( the black and white wire)

I take some pictures of mine tomorrow when I'm on my lunch break as mine are the oringinal wires so at least you can work out what wire went where. My lights in the grill are high beam lights not fog lights so they might be slightly different?

Sorry can be much help as electrics aren't my strong point.
