Question is; Is this ok to use on the exterior bodywork? i.e is it a bit too harsh?
Just worried that I'll bare metal the car and then realise the prep is harder because I should have used something else. does it leave tiny scratches?
p.s I'm primering the bare metal immediately after brushing.
Thanks.

I'll get some flap discs for the outer bodywork I want mint, underneath I'll be using the wire wheel!

Do not use flap wheels ! every spark you see coming off the wheel is good steel! they are absolutely no good for this kind of work, trust me ive been doing this sort of work a long time
they are way too harsh, normally used for cleaning welds up etc!
a wire brush would be a much better alternative than a flap wheel.
Stripping discs or mule skinners are a good way forward
Do it once and do it right! ok, we've identified the problem, lets not make it worse by guessing……… Identifying the sympton is not the same as understanding the cause

They'll remove the paint, muck and crud - plus take away most of surface rust but wont strip away all your steel. They wear out quick but are the best thing I've used to date for cleaning up bodywork.
