NWM22 - 9th September, Preston Brook

Right, after much debate, we are going to have North West Meet 22 at:

Date: 9th September
Time: 1pm
Place: Preston Brook Pub

Directions:

M56 Junction 11, take the A56 away from Warrington and towards Preston Brook village. Drive through the 30mph speed limit area, cross the roundabout for O2, then the Preston Brook pub is a large pub on the right. Its visible from the Motorway if you're coming from the West (Chester).

I will be at european finals which is a shame so I wont be there although have just started working more hours so hopefully that will mean that I have enough money to get both daily driver and the golf insured. Maybe see you all at NWM23!!!

Ok so the mk1 is nowhere near complete and now the gearbox has gone in the passat  
Hopefully the mk4 will get me to preston brook next week, 2 down 1 to go  

Whilst i'm on the subject do we have a list of folks who's going??  It's my first mk1 meet and i'm gonna be the only bugger there

Okay guys, less than a week to go and there doesn't seem to be much interest! Please can you indicate you're going, with a 'definite' or 'maybe' indication. There's no pressure to go, just let us know if this meet is viable, it would be a shame to disband the NWM regional meets but if there's no interest…..

I'm still a 'no' I'm afraid. Getting very excited about european finals tho, I got sunburnt there last year so I'm hoping for weather as good as that again this year.

I don't blame you! I was there this weekend, a couple of the teams are already there (1 top fuel team, at least 2 pro mod and a pro stock). They were doing testing, in addition to VW Action it was a test & tune day. I spoke with some Scandanavians (I think?) with a beautiful Pro Mod Chevy Bel-Air who were queuing up alongside me in the pairing lane (I wanted to check I wasn't running against him!!!) and he said they're there all week in the lead up to it.

Tempted to go myself, but its just more and more money etc….. quite pricey to get in, travel expenses, etc.

I'm just going for finals day on Sunday. If the meet falls through and you're interested in sharing fuel costs Flic and I will be travelling down from Liverpool.
