just waiting for a sensibly priced original car to turn up here as the ones on ebay are crazy prices, it will have to be a rolling project as the garage is taken up by my 56 beetle project!

for next year..I hope!..its been in the garage nearly 7 years!  so i really must get it finished soon!

still havent found a mk1 at the right price yet..do you know of anyone who might have one up for sale soon?

lol I know the feeling, my Campaign will have been off the road for 7 years come about October time!

I'll have an '82 1.8 GTI in white up soon-ish. It's not finished yet, I reckon circa mid-end September.

It's high miles @ 270k but most things have been replaced/refurbished. The engine has 145bhp and is very nippy, AP racing coilovers all round and it's not too crashy, plus riding only at half height with a lot of adjustment either way.

I've got new (2nd hand) seats going in that aren't ripped, a lot of new trim.

Still some bodywork to finish and paint correction but it should be a real tidy car once done.

If you dig through here - Log into Facebook - you'll see pics from when I collected it at the end of June.

Not sure on price yet, will have to see how it ends up once finished but it's not a cheap project car for sure
