throttle cable grommet

does anyone know where I can get a new throttle pedal grommet from ?..it`s the one that goes over the end of the cable and then pushes into the pedal….mine disintegrated tonight..while pulling up to traffic lights………….on red cf_emoticons__BangHead:88 gti cab.

I could do with one too, mine fell apart and a nice aa man got me going again with some small diameter hose 2 tie raps and some super glue, its still rock solid after 18 months, but want one as a spare.

America from ebay, which is an original one.

The first 2 are solid rubber and the original one is a foam type grommit.

I have one of the rubber ones in just now and then I have put one of the carpet securing clips from behind the pedals onto the end of the cable once its through the grommit and secured on the pedal.

I think its better than new now as the carpet clip is soild and far bigger than the grommit.

The 2 rubber ones were about £4 and the US one was £8.

I was also told that u can use a mk2 one straight from Vw ?

The 2nd one is the real one

ask for a mk2 golf one, its almost identical but a lot cheaper. vw or gsf do them, less than a quid!

last time i checked it was cheaper from the dealer than gsf as well, so phone around

He has a removable 32gb memory card slot in the back of his head for storing VW related info    

blimey how can they justify that much, when the mk2 one is almost identical:
191 721 559 - 0.86+VAT
