Chrome Mirrors - Opinions Please

Morning all

I'm still deciding on which way to go with the Golf, but i am swaying towards the chrome look a little. I was searching on eBay and stumbled upon these mirrors. I like them, they work well on earlier models..



How ever they are cheaper at VW Heritage..

Think heritages price is for 1, whereas the other is for a pair

Would perrsonally take more time and source genuine, I learnt the hard way!

If you fancy chrome but something a little different to the flag mirrors then you could always go for a set of clamp on "peep" mirrors. Im gonna use some of these on my truck eventually!

Think they look awesome on some MK1s but not on others. Depends on colour of car and wheels.

Dnt get those from.eBay if u are thinkin of getting those ones, they do the exact same ones for.cheaper on venom motorsport

I ordered the ones from venom but they were poor quality !! The black surround didn't sit in place properly and they were the last set that they had so got refunded after about 4 weeks !!

Oh well maybe dnt go for those then lol

Surely the ones of eBay wud be the same quality seens as they are the same brand :/

For the price you pay the quality of the speedtech ones are really poor !!

you have to careful with cheap ones as well as i know a few people that have bought sets that end up folding in from the wind when you are driving along

Yeah I bough cheapy black flag.mirrors and.that happens but you can.tighten.mine.up I found out.with.just.twisting it round as many times till it gets tight enough so it doesn't move 

Thanks for the replies all, i think i will leave it, don't want to spend that amount and them to potentially be rubbish!

Will just spend some money on some small bumpers instead!

Well I never, at least paid members get 10% off.. 

I've heard of peeps using the old mini style ones..

I think its only 5% now…

Im not keen on the chrome look. I think its tacky. Stop at the bumpers!
