Wasn't this sold recently? Think I saw it advertised for around £12k I think.

PS. If you've still got it in the workshop will you put the badge on correctly!

yes my boss brought it

and funny you say aboutthe badge, we are undecided on where it should be as we pics of it dating from the early 80's with it being where it is now, can anyone confirm which side it should be on with evidence to back it up

Apart from I was driving them then when they were new and 100% it's on the passenger side of the grille! have a look at some of the brochures on the home page  here and you can see them fitted on single lamp grilles. Or google GOLF MK1 grille images.

Interestingly, the VW press car a silver 83 GTI with BBS body kit had it fitted on the wrong side for a while, might have been something people did to be a bit different.

He has bought an amazing car, hope it's going to remain standard.

it is an amazing car and will be cherished, it will remain standard or as standard as it is now, there is a couple of minor issues to be dealt with but these shall  be done shortly
