FAO: anyone wishing to obtain some history for their car.

Not sure if many know this, but for anyone wishing to get a bit of info for their car, print out the V888 form from the DVLA sitehttps://www.gov.uk/government/publications/v888-request-by-an-individual-for-information-about-a-vehicle, fill it out and attach a postal order or cheque. Did this for my 3.0CS and 7 weeks later I got a packet containing copies of all previous logbooks and details of registration plate changes. All in all about 20 pages long and well worth the £5.

Nosmonkey - what did you put in section 4 and 5 please? I have no idea what I can request or why!

Just filled mine out and posted it.

I just said I wanted all DVLA held info as I've got a show car and wanted as much info into its history file for the future.

I did this when I got mine 13 years ago. 
I got the previous owners details and wrote to all of them in the hope of old photos or documents that they may have had tucked away. 
Didn't get a single reply!!! 

Did you use headed notepaper from work Dano ?

I saw your post on RetroRides and sent off for this myself last week as i have NO previous history of my car so interested to see what i may get back!

Got all my info through last week, lots of info on the previous 10 owners   managed to find the first owner on facebook and sent him a message, hopefully he gets back to me soon!
