Correct 1991 Cabriolet window winder handle.

Can someone show me a photo of which one is the correct window winder handle for a 1991 VW Golf Cabriolet as supplied by the factory in 1991 please? Mine is a 1.8L DX engine code (Fuel Injection) if that makes any difference.

Not sure there's a difference for the later models, no matter what engine you have.

What ones do you have now? 
Because if they are all black plastic, then they are all the same.

Thanks, sorted. One of my winders had a chrome ring on the handle's centre. Checking period brochures they were all black.

Should add watch out for Repro's, some of them are total rubbish and I don't mean always the cheapest either!  :thumbs:

Thanks again for the tip. I got some matching good used genuine VW made ones now with the spacer ring included. Happy New Year!

watch out for the rears on the later cabs, are the same but some need a spacer to push them out far enough otherwise they hit the plastic speaker grille covers as i found out :lol:

Mine's a '91. Checking '90-92 brochures no chrome rings are visible.

'87 cab here - I've got chrome rings on three of the winders, the fourth one fell off because I didn't know how the cover unclipped and it snapped  :(

If anybody knows a source (or has a mismatched set) I'd be grateful, VW Heritage only have the all-black ones!

I  think I have one with the chrome ring in decent condition, the problem I see is cost of shipping will be about Euro 15 signed for. It might be cheaper for you finding one from the UK.
