Classic Cars on the Road

Post

Though we all share an enthusiasm for the MK1 Golf, I'm sure that we all equally like and appreciate other classic cars.
and the best place for cars is of course on the road.

Though perhaps not the best time of year to be starting such a topic, how about pics of classic cars you've seen out and about?

here's a few I've seen over the last few weeks

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Had an B-GT years ago - a 71 - I liked it. Sold it for a profit too :)

I'm using my 1978 Mk1 Scirocco as a daily drive at the moment as the Mk1 Golf is off the road as doing a few jobs for the MOT and fitting a new roof.
Been using the Scirocco for 2 weeks and enjoying it.

Drove a 67 Midget, and a 58 Bug-Eyed Sprite, as well as a Rover 3500S Loved the heck out of all of them.  The Bug-eye is still in parts and pieces all waiting for re-assembly 40 years parked in a Barn.  They are responsible for me getting to know the Electrics on Cars…. They all started me on my path to wrenching and I suspect I will always find older cars more satisfying….

Well I found this to be our Wedding car 2012 down in Winchester.

DSC09581.JPG

The previous owner was a certain old Lady of the Royal family.
It was her private car for driving around a certain estate in Scotland.

Does it really come better than this one, not only for that special day but to think about who else sat in the back.

I got to know the owner a little and you have to say that this car takes the meaning of Concours to a whole new level!  😀👍
