Just collect my Mars red MK1 Campaign

I think the car has been loved all its life, it wasnt just its previous keeper its a credit to all who have driven it over the past 24 years.

Yesterday she got yet another coat of polish, i replaced the stereo with a fancy Blaupunkt that you can set the display to green (soldered all connecting wires as they had previously just been twisted together, which is a personal pet hate of mine).

Drove her to work today and dropped it off at the tyre garage for a set of Pirelli P9000s. Next week she is booked in for a total going over inc full service, brake fluid change, clutch cable & alternator reconditioning.

Oh and i took her out for a thrash round our back roads yesterday, it was so much fun! I have to say i had more fun yesterday in the Golf than i used to have when i had an E60 M5, obviously its not as fast but its the whole package.. the golf makes me smile all the time.

I think its safe to say im looking after her.
