hood leaking onto front seats

do you have to glue the material back on if you're just changing the side cables, or is that a different part of the hood?

from my interpretation of all my study in preparation for THIS weekend replacing my whole vinyl I think (not 100%) that you can do the cables without glue.

Don't forget the pics before during and after I'll try to get some of mine lol

No you don't have to but worth having a can of spray adhesive handy

Well, over a year on, I finally tackled this today. Thanks for the brilliant, clear instructions - most useful. 8)

It took me 4 hours, as I had to drill out loads of rivets, and some of the screws were rusted in, but I finally got both cables done.

One side is great, nice and tight, but the other side is disappointingly loose still - I guess the spring must be too stretched or something, and so I don't think I can do much about it. Ah well…  :roll:
