Just bought the same angle grinder from b&q and must say its quite good and survived a whole day of hard work cutting up a car :)

Cool - good to hear that it's up to the job…

By the way, did you manage to fit the guard ok? I had to swivel the final drive bit through 180? to make it fit…

It was a bit awkward but I managed in the end, there was a nack to getting it right and because it was new everything was tighter than tight.

Had to buy the parts myself so not delivered by Santa but fortunate enough to be off work for 2 weeks so I can do some MK1 spannering, it was either that or make a start on decorating the spare room?..

Replaced front shocks on Caddy, noticed the originals were past their best when I replaced the springs for the MOT in the summer. They did appear to be the original 15 year old ones and I?ve replaced them with some KYB eBay bargains.

Yesterday I replaced the cambelt on the GTI, although it?s done less than 20,000 miles since I rebuilt the engine, it is 5 years ago and the belt did have some tiny surface cracking. It all came apart quite easily, the 4 Allen headed bolts holding the crank pulley on are past their best and the recessed centre bolt for the lower plastic cover was a PITA to get out. :banghead:

Miraculously it started 1st time! Also replaced the ?fan? belt whilst I was at it.

Now I?m going to investigate the WUR and see if I can figure out what?s up before I have to spend ?120 on a new one. I did have a spare somewhere but can?t find it.  It has the problem that a few on here have, starts OK then revs die down too low whilst its warming up then eventually its ok. Tested the air slide thingy and that appears to work OK. :dontknow:
