Currently the car is awating my attention in the UK while I'm abroad for a couple of months - it will be starting restoration as of November. Can't wait   :cheer:

 in fact looking at the piccys and the story, i know it was that car! have you got it running yet?
 i wanted a daily drive instead of a project so had to give it a miss.

I remember these always being on a MK1 GTI at Inters many years ago, I think the reg was A18 GTI - got a piccie somewhere unless someone here owns the car of course  :wink:

Opps nearly forgot - wheels for me……… BBS RM's….. a spare set of P's for winter use (but the car is never out in winter)… and some spare 78 GTI alloys which are up for sale if anyone wants em  :wink:

What I really want are a set of Phase 1 Ronal or Zender Turbo's.

Yup that's the one!

Unfortunately I bought it to restore over the summer, but the following week I was offered the chance to work abroad for a few months, so I haven't got very far with it.

Overall it should scrub up, but a daily driver it ain't!!! Not yet, anyway

My Midget had wires and they are a Nightmare  :twisted:  to keep clean, don't think they would suit a golf though  

think they look pretty sweet personaly but yeah they would be an absolute pain to keep clean.

They get my vote still  :y:  definately different
