The Golf mk1 GTI was nothing short of sensational back in the early 1980s. Everyone wanted one, I can remember the time very well and recon that a lot of over 40 owners are stilll about  :wink:

ok this is crazy so il end this now. my car is 82' and i was born sep 1985. my car is 3 yrs older than me.

I am an 80 kid and the cars an 81, so +1 almost like a mischevious brother, however my aircooled type 3 notchback is a '63, -17, a bit like a groovy dad!
