Put on the door mirrors I had grabbed cheap from a late mk1 cabriolet. Wanted something I could adjust from the inside. Will eventually match the body kit I will put on when it’s ready

Yes much nicer. I did have some elephant ears but sold them as didn’t like them. They seem popular as I had a bidding war over them and got a good price for them

It’s alive for first time since 2011
Sounds a bit rough but at least it’s running that was my main worry.
Had to get another starter motor for it (second hand. I will now change all the plugs and leads.
I have a few electrical gremlins that I will try to sort
Would post a video but have no idea how

well I have not updated this for a while.
everything was going really well with project until it came to trying to get all the lights done for the mot. for some reason the drivers side rear lights wouldn't work at all. so I walked away from it to have a think and a week ended up being over 18 months.
then in the winter of 2020 we had some very strong winds and heavy snow and the tent garage I stored for in collapsed and damaged all my hard work.
roll on another 10 months I decided to crack on again.
I'm finally adding some rubber to my ATS cups and ordered a complete lowering kit from retrofication and a complete set of bulbs.
my plan is to get it motd by 31st dec 2021 and then get it into the paint shop once the guy has finished spraying my G60 corrado

had the auto electrician out today and there was good news and bad news. the good news it that we got the rear lights working, the bad news is that we couldn't get main beam and full beam or the wipers working. after checking the dash panel loom we found a lot of the wires have melted to this needs replacing .
does anyone know if a dash loom from a 87 gti cabby will fit my 89 1.6 caddy. I will use the gti clocks so I have the rev counter and is it possible to retro fit the mfa
im also thinking of fitting the cabby dash and retro fit the knee bar part. if this will;l; work I will buy a Doner car I have found

Out with the old 1.6 4 speed. Now just need to remove a 1.8 gti DX engine from a doner car then refit it all

Been busy past few days. Stripped wiring looms from the scrap cabby and Rewired the caddy. Also managed to get the fuel lines off in one hit inc swirl pot and got them fitted to the caddy ready for the gti engine to go in

Finally found my VDO gauges I bought over year ago (put them somewhere safe lol) just need to wire them up. If by any chance anyone knows where to get the bulbs and holders for them it would be much appreciated.

Fitted small bumper tonight looks way better than what the cabby body kit would. Now I just have 2 full body kits to sell lol
