Mk1 Tin top project

Post

Purchased the car a few years ago with 52k on the clock , had thought of selling then after getting the car home from storage I decided to start tidying it up. A small repair around the tailgate I though and a polish soon turned into a full re spray and restore!
Trying to keep and restore as many of the original parts as possible, engine refresh / new clutch, water pump cam belt etc. new bilstein inserts suspension, poly bushed, caliper refurb.
Had a few headaches some difficulties in sourcing some parts ( new sunroof cables in particular) few more bits to do :

Wow that looks good and great attention to detail.
Good to see you are keeping it original.

Is that your garage as I wish mine was that big and tidy

S/S Manifold heat wrap, had to cut 20mm off it and re weld to clear the rubber gaiter as I think it was for a LHD car.
