hi mate just going to use
one of the gti engine and
boxes  and change the fuel
supply

are you just making a bulk head
or are we cutting it out of the blue one

good day searching for bits
and pieces throttle cable
clutch cable speedo cable
things are looking rosey  

another good day of hunting acquired
accumalator also in tank fuel pump
swirl pot radiator with fan  few bits of
pipe work breather and vacuum success

Strange the way the carb cars don’t have the extra cut out in the front for the radiator…
Not sure I would trust that mileage as the numbers don’t seem to line up very well?

If the cars been pushed around without the drive shafts fitted to the hubs it’s worth adding 2 new front wheel bearings to your list as they don’t like being used not under tension.

looks like a good solid cabriolet to start with which is a bonus..

spare stub axles to refurb.
and a couple of spare shafts
to sort as well

do you think the extra hole not there
would cause overheating  problems

and a fuel metering head with air flow sensor

I would not think it will matter, just make sure you fit a GTi radiator and a water cooled oil cooler. There's plenty of air flow from the grill area and it's not that often we get really hot weather.
