Great progress made once again, the car looks sweet in the sunlight with the roof down, it’s great you are putting right previous wrongs so you can really enjoy the car and some pics of the dials once plumbed in would be good to see.

Thank you yeah I’m sure there will be plenty more photos to come , I can’t believe it hasn’t set fire yet due to all the dodgy wiring

Also done some light surface rust removal inside the car today on the floor , I know the red oxide won’t be to every ones taste , but it will stop any more issues for the near future until I take it for a full respray
Going to finish the floor tomorrow

Great work, like the old school plates, suit the car well. Look forward to seeing your gauges wired in and lit up.

where did you source your brake callipers from, so many out there at quite cheap prices but I’m unsure if the quality is any good?

EBay item number 263759057429
They seem a lot better than what I had

I think I’m going to run the plates if I feel brave enough

The photos will come

Thanks Aaron, I’ve been watching them and some others so may bite the bullet and get them bought.

Keep the plates, very cool.

Small updates today
Got the rear interior back in and handbrake back on
New gear stick test fitted
And I've ordered up a new 85mm filter king regulator and facet red top pump ?
As the last owner had 10mm pipe from the pump too the original 6mm car fuel lines right next to a  manifold

Also got the window switches into there new home , just need to wire them to the ignition live instead of the permanent live that they was wired up to !!

Also going to re configure the fuel filter and pump set up in the engine bay as the pump  and filter is in a very compromising place
If I was to have a accident it would be the first thing to brake and set on fire

This car and all it’s bodges is really starting to mentally wear me down

Also need to find a new instrument cluster as the battery light don’t work so the alternator isn’t kicking in properly

Don’t give up, your attention to detail and effort will be rewarded when you enjoy driving it during the summer months and you’ve had really positive comments so far and your progress seems pretty swift so keep going, I for one am looking forward to seeing it completed!!

Thank you for the uplift , been a very emotional drain  one step in the right direction then 10 back fixing all the poor workmanship ,

I’ve learnt not to judge a book by its cover now
